He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder Horstman and Elsie Horstman (Niedfeldt); his grandson Micheal Gunderson; his siblings, Verdell, Wally, Mildred Zeeman, Elaine Garves, Delores Fisher and Doris Reamer; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Zeeman, Bob Garves and Dallas Wagner.
He is survived by: his wife Lany; his daughters, Debra Gundersen of Lacrosse, WI, Cynthia Hanson of Westby, WI and Lisa Kleist (James) of Houston, MN.; his grandchildren, Jenna Gunderson, Matt Gunderson, Katie Hanson, Carrie Brilowski (Clay), Cameron Kleist (Cara) and Jordan Kleist; his great grandchildren, Riley Gunderson, Lorena Brilowski and Ava Kleist; his siblings, Glen (Judy) and Arlene Wegner; and his sister-in-law Helen Horstman.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation (106 W Franklin St, Sparta, WI 54656). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Burns Cemetery (N5461 WI-162, Bangor, WI 54614).
