He was predeceased by: his parents, Fayz Wakeen and Helen Wakeen (Patros); his wife Jeanne A. Vogel; his brother Fred; and his niece Maria.
He is survived by: his children, Nick Wakeen, Karla Wakeen of La Crosse and Tracey Wakeen of Sparta; his grandchildren, Zach, Annie, Lydia, Julian, Rena and Jackie; his great grandchildren, Layla, Kai, Jay, Eloise and Drew; his nieces and nephews, Chris and Deb; his siblings, Jerry Wakeen (Bev), Gloria Hoesley and Dennis Wakeen; and his sister-in-law Deb Wakeen.
