He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shager and Alma Shager (Erickson); his brothers, Delbert and Chuck; and his siblings-in-law, Luann and Mike Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis; his children, Kevin Shager (Pam) of Wiota, Peggy Ziebarth (Randy) of Mt. Horeb, WI, Tim Shager (Julie) of Wiota and Jill Ruffridge (Brent) of Monona, WI; his brother Donnie Shager (Margaret) of Wiota; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Shager of Monroe and Bonnie Anderson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Family will not be there to visit due to COVID restrictions.
