He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Carlson; his wife JoAnn Carlson; his stepmother Maryhelen Carlson; and his brother Rick Carlson. He is survived by: his mother Elayne Carlson (Byer); his former wife Jo Ann Carlson; his grandchildren, Chris Schnee, Tad Moeller (Estrella), Jennifer Whitney (Parke), Autumn Carlson (Clint), Tommy and Foster Carlson; his great grandchildren, Michael, Deron, Thomas, Eva, Thor, Tyler, Aubree, Rilee, Conner, Cooper, Angelia, Faith, Gracie and Layla; his siblings, Kathy Hanson (David) and Brad Carlson (Terriann); his sister-in-law Ulla Gustafsson-Carlson; his stepsiblings, Sallie Gotelaere (Jim), Terri McGrath (Doug Roberts) and Kevin McGrath (Janet); and his uncle William Byer (Kathy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
