He was predeceased by: his parents, Eino "Red" Honkanen and Ruth Honkanen (Hagen); and his sister Jean. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Hemphill of Superior, WI, Cory Honkanen (Kim) of Oakland, WI, Kamie Androsky (Dennis) of Solon Springs, WI and Brenda Bracklin; his grandchildren, Christopher Hemphill, Patrick Honkanen, Joseph, Thomas, Allison Androsky and Leevi Honkanen; his great grandchild Jade; his brother John Honkanen (Judy) of Britt, MN; and his daughter Dorothy "Dotsie" Honkanen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
