He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Peterson and Hansina Peterson (Guttelvik); his brothers, Edward, Daniel and Walter Peterson; his niece Susan Peterson Steele; his grandson Aaron Casey Hochrein; and his great great grandchild Jack Hochrein.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Olavson; his children, Steve Peterson (Janine) of Chippewa Falls, WI, Brian Peterson, Cindy Peterson, Beth Nelson (Scott), Duluth and Jim Peterson (Jeanine); his grandchildren, Tracy Hochrein, Kathy Childs (Roger), Anita McDonald (Mark), Kiara Peterson, Bethany Grey (Michael), Joe Peterson, Justin, Erik, Katherine Nelson, Sasha and Kylie Peterson; his great grandchildren, Casey (Katrianna), Sam, Gabe Hochrein, Lily, Zander, Matthew McDonald, Peyton and Jordan Nelson; and his nephews, Don (Dawn), Dick Peterson (Char), Doug Peterson (Evelyn Hobbs) and Tom Steele.
Due to COVID restrictions, no public services will be held.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Roy's name to Concordia Lutheran Church, 1708 John Avenue, Superior, WI 54880, or to a charity of the giver's choice.
