He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Catherine; his father-in-law Richard Belanger; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Copp (Doug) and Richard Belanger.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Y. Belanger; his sons, Chad (Melissa) of Attleboro, MA and Shawn (Kristin) of Superior; his granddaughters, McKenzie, Madeline, Kennedy Sullivan, Taylor and Samantha Cota; his siblings, Mary Pettit (Chad) of Hanover, MN, Jean Waniger (Scott) of Andover, MN, William Sullivan (Yvonne) of Danbury, WI, Timothy Sullivan (Karen) of Sarona, WI and Patrick Sullivan (Kimberly) of Coon Rapids, MN; his mother-in-law Janice Belanger of Iron River, WI; and his sister-in-law Rosann Shafer of Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
