He is survived by: his spouse Rubie; his children, Louis Jr. (Christi), Terry and Lori; his grandchildren, Madeline and Kennedie; his siblings, Irene Ackerman (late Nick) and Ken (late Clare); and his sibling-in-law Elizabeth Reed (late Herman).
