She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Robert LaPointe; her parents, Ruth Polyak and Vince Polyak; her siblings, Jane Joyce (Dennis), Jeannie Drew (Dan), Mike Polyak (Sandy), Mary Strom (Paul) and Thomas Polyak; her siblings-in-law, Mike LaPointe (Cheri), Jeanne Borkowski (Mike), Tom LaPointe (Debbie), Joanne Brayton and Lisa LaPointe; and her friends, Nancy Kuczynski and Ellie Risch. She was also cherished by godchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Maryknoll Fathers or the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.
