He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Thomas and Betty H. Schlenker (Faletto); his nephew Cory T. Schlenker; and his brother-in-law Darrell Viola. He is survived by: his wife Marcela of Somers; his children, Bryanna (Ryan Freeman), Kaylyn (John Koski), Jake, Molly Hagen (Al) and Leah Schlenker; his stepdaughters, Daniela Ramirez and Jimena Ramirez; his grandchildren, Emma, Jace and Skylar; his siblings, Tom Schlenker (Carolina), Kathy Viola, Tim Schlenker, Terry Schlenker (Susan Andrea), Kris Schlenker (George Vanacek), Karolyn O'Toole (Bill), Ted Schlenker, Todd Schlenker (Sue Bolly) and Kim Broderick (Mark); and his parents-in-law, Nidia Segura and Custodio Gonzalez.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated by the family.
