She was predeceased by: her parents, Ken Smith and Merle Smith; her brother Dewey Smith; her brother-in-law Ron Wright; her nephew Travis Smith; and her niece Tracy Sperling.

She is survived by: her husband Lee Gilbertson; her children, Justin Holmes (Kayla) and Lee Gilbertson Jr. (Tracy); her grandchildren, Brody Holmes, Markus Gilbertson (Jenny) and Mercedes Nichols (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Madison Gilbertson, Jackson Nichols and Emmit Nichols; and her siblings, Jan Wright, Dennis Smith (Peggy) and Rick Smith (Perri). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
