He is survived by: his mother Theresa Ann Merten (Kubicek); his wife Martha Reinders (Reinders); his children, Nicholaus Merten (Rachael) of Slinger, WI and Robert Joseph Merten (Lynnae) of Lemmon, SD.; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Brock, Grant, Grace Merten, Rawlins and Lawson Merten; his siblings, David Merten (Joanne) of West Bend, WI, Elizabeth Weninger (Mark) of Hartford, WI, John Merten (Debbie) of Slinger, WI, Mary Lu Bader (Bradley) of Monroe, WI and Nancy Lee (John) of Hartford, WI.; and his in-laws, Lisa Modaff (Jim), Karl Reinders (Joann), Lois Knudson (Duane), Nancy Boden (Peter) and Kevin Reinders (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
