He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Ray and Katherine Giencke; his son-in-law Cale Dietrich; and his parents, Benjamin Panten and Frances Panten (Held).

He is survived by: his children, Lisa, Mike (Connie), Steve (Michelle Nusbaum), LeAnne Dietrich, Rick Jr., Kevin (Niki) and Janelle Stevenson (Craig); his grandchildren, Trevor, Caiti, Julia (Tom), Adam, Lauren, Ben, Kyle and Holly; and his wife Janet Giencke. He is also survived by many sisters- and brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Peter Parish (208 E Washington St, Slinger, WI 53086).
