He is survived by: his wife Greta Allen; his children, Maura Benseler (Jeff), Peter Eckert (Donna), Thomas Eckert (Winn), Karen Schmidt (David) and Edward Eckert (Barbara); his brother Jack Eckert (Sue); and his sisters-in-law, Karla Spinks and Shirley Eckert. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
