She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah A. "Sally" Degeneffe and John C. "Jack" Degeneffe; her parents-in-law, Mary C. Karius and Donald Karius; her brother-in-law Jim Hefter; her nephew Andrew Sauer; her niece-in-law Abby Sauer; and her great-nephew Macklin Karius.
She is survived by: her husband Michael "Pudge" Karius; her children, Eric Karius, Sara Schneider (Matt) and Dana Trevino (Ben); her grandchildren, Cassie Karius, Ruby, Grace, Noah Schneider, Eli and Easton Trevino; her siblings, Kathy Hefter, Bette Janz, Jacquie Wiedmeyer (Vern), Barb Sauer (Jim), Connie Breuer (Gary), Nancy Breuer (Mark), Judy Krueger (Bruce), Cindy Schellinger (Mark), Mike Degeneffe, Janet Brugger (Jim) and Jenny Schulteis (John); and her siblings-in-law, Sue Karius, Dan Karius (Margaret) and Hank Karius. She is also survived by nephews, numerous other relatives and great friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St, Hartford, WI 53027).
Mary also loved sewing blankets to donate to local hospitals for babies born still.
