He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dietrich and Virginia Dietrich; and his parents-in-law, Chester and Shirley Ignasiak. He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Kathy); his children, Michele Hughes (Kris), David Dietrich (Jennifer), Melissa Dietrich and Derek Dietrich (Heidi); his grandchildren, Brady, Michael, Josiah, Griffin, Grant, Nolan, Addison, Mitchell, Dylan, Joshua and Natalie; and his cousin Sharon Dietrich.
