With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vivian Joyce Opitz of Sister Bay, Wisconsin, born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 1, 2024 at the age of 101. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Herman Bublitz and Clara Francis Bublitz (Brellenthin); her husband Lester Ludtke (Don Opitz); her children, Steven, James Opitz and Susan Opitz; her granddaughter Taylor Opitz; and her brother Elmer Bublitz (Violet).
She is survived by: her son Jack Opitz (Liz) of Sister Bay, WI; her grandchildren, Joshua Opitz of Sister Bay, WI, Zachary Opitz of Beaverton, OR, Elli Lapolla (Ryan) of Ellison Bay, WI and Jennifer Critelli Anderson of Milwaukee, WI; and her great grandchildren, Shayla, Arlo Opitz, Mathew Opitz, Brielynn and Nyla Lapolla. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
