It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John M. Smejkal (Sister Bay, Wisconsin), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 23, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriett Smejkal (Seyller) and Dr. Walter Smejkal; his sister Sally Pankratz; and his daughter-in-law Rebekah Lynne Smejkal (Greenbush). He is survived by: his wife Ann Sanstadt; his children, Ian Smejkal of LaCrosse, Elizabeth Pederson (Lee) of LaCrosse and Ben Smejkal of Minneapolis, MN; the mother of his children Ann Smejkal of LaCrosse; his grandsons, Ethan, Evan Smejkal, Christopher, Alexander and Andrew Pederson; his brother-in-law Donald Pankratz of Kiel; and also Arthur Weborg.
Due to the current pandemic, plans for a memorial service will be postponed and announced at a later date.
