Joan Therese Champeau Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Therese Champeau of Sister Bay, Wisconsin, born in Menominee, Michigan, who passed away on December 1, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Gustave Vieth and Angeline Rose Vieth (L'Hote); her parents-in-law, Victor and Wilhemina "Minnie" (Kodanko); and her siblings, Johnny Vieth (Corrine), Patricia Sunstrom (Robert) and Paul Vieth.
She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Victor Champeau; her sister Bay; her children, Nannette Champeau, Roberta Champeau (Don Bumpus), Marc Champeau (Carol) and Patrice Champeau (Eric Smith); her grandchildren, Claire Erickson, Anders Erickson (Azusa Inaba) and Genevieve Pelrine; and her great grandchild Parker Rowe.
Memorials may be given in Joan's name for the Sister Bay Historical Society, The Clearing, or the Peninsula Music Festival.
