He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pingel and Verona Pingel (Wagner); his son Roger Pingel; his son-in-law James Helser; his parents-in-law, Leo and Lorena Peters; and his brother-in-law Floyd Wadel.
He is survived by: his wife Verla Peters; his children, Vicki Helser, Allan Pingel (Laura), Steve Pingel (Cheryl) and Duane Pingel (Amy); his grandchildren, Michael Helser (Kara), Bradley Helser (Leslie), Jeffrey Helser (Christie), Joshua Helser (Stacy), Ryan and Caitlyn Pingel (Riley Leeman); his great grandchildren, Kayden Manteufel, Mason, Adelyn Helser, Patrick, Olivia Helser, Tenlee, Toby VanStraten and Caden Wilz; his sisters, Joyce Wadel, Lois Errington (Jim) and Audrey Blake (Gene); and his brother-in-law Milton Peters. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
