He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Scheid and Eldora Scheid (McFaul); his grandfather Charles; his former wife Eileen McGlin; his wife Frena Boeder; his children, Michael Scheid (Kim), Patricia Robinson (Bill), Melody Snyder (Guy), Rhonda Schadler, Timothy Scheid (Sherry) and Terri Brouillard (Bob); his grandchildren, Thomas Scheid, Melissa Frantz (Christian), Daniel Scheid, Will Robinson (Laurie), Trisha Robinson, Jason Wiggins, Brian Wiggins (Molly), Michelle Snyder, Michael Scheid, Travis Schadler, Genevieve Scheid, Nathaniel Scheid (Terri), Anthony Scheid (Jamie), Patrick Brouillard and Wesley Brouillard; his sisters-in-law, Angie Scheid and Marlene Scheid; his parents-in-law, Lorenz and Irma Boeder; his son-in-law Kenneth Schadler; his grandson Darien Wiggins; his brothers, Harland, Melvin, DuWaine, Darwin and Gordon; and his sister-in-law Delores. He was also cherished by many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
