She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Winterfeldt and Zelaya Winterfeldt (Ross); her husband Roger Schmidt; her son Jerald Schmidt; her son-in-law Ivan Bruns; and her siblings, Valgene Zuberbier, Carrie Zeinert and Russell Winterfeldt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Candee Bruns, Shirley Young (Dennis) and Julie Sommers (Sam); her daughter-in-law Marie Schmidt; her grandchildren, Amy Liebergen (Todd), Sandy Schmidt (Sheila), Brad Schmidt (Melissa), Angela Marcks (Kevin), Jeremy Bruns (Marilee), Cory Bruns (Stephanie), Eric Young (Julie), Shannon Luedeman, Adam Young (Kailey), Lacey Schneider (Mark), Jordan Sommers and Noah Sommers (Alex); her stepgrandchildren, Melissa Petersen (Tina), Todd Schuelke (Jacque) and Ryan Schuelke (Carrie); and her sister Marion Reinert. She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren and one due in May; 6 great-great grandchildren.
