He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Nett and Josephine Nett (Franzen); his wife Constance "Connie" Nettekoven; his brothers, James, Peter and Paul; his stepmother Zelda; his stepsisters, Genevieve and Joanne; and his parents-in-law, John and Anna Nettekoven.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene Nett Jr. (Julie), Victor Nett and Ida Diedrich (Dean); his grandchildren, Alicia Diedrich (Colin Young), Derek Diedrich (Jaycie), Grant, Hunter, Dakota (Kyle Abegglen) and Alexis Nett; his siblings, Sylvester, Ralph Nett (Annette), Linda Duesterhoeft (Tom) and Judy Lillie (Joseph); and his siblings-in-law, Ervin, Jim Nettekoven (Donna) and Marilyn Nettekoven. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of High Cliff State Park, which helps to provide handicap accessibility to trails.
