He is survived by: his wife Cheryl "Sherry" Friel of Shell Lake; his sons, James Friel, Allison Friel of Waukesha and Sean; his grandchildren, Abigail and Clare; his sister Victoria Miller (Don) of Athens; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Dvorak and Robin Schroeder (Kurt) of Pueblo West. He is also survived by two nephews and four nieces.
