He is survived by: his wife Jane Thompson; his daughter Patience "Patty" Schmidt (Tom); his grandchildren, Katherine, Steven and Jacob Luther; his stepgrandchildren, Layla, August, Evan and Valorie Schmidt; and his siblings-in-law, Dick Thompson (Carol), Ron Thompson (Marlene), Dennis Thompson (Debbie), Ken Freund and Jean Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Stars & Stripes Honor Flight in Bill's name.
