She is survived by: her spouse Clarence Stentz; her children, Michele Meerdink (Jeff Kettler) and Rocquie Stentz (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Tristan Meerdink (Abigail), Tyler Stentz (Lauren) and Mason Stentz; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Scarlett, Vivian Meerdink and Cameron Stentz; her brother Jack Prisinger; and her sister-in-law Bette Ibe.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Vernetta's name.
