He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Julius, Helen Vander Weele, Wilma and Carl Erdmann; and his stepfather Rob Boll.
He is survived by: his mother Ann Vander Weele (Erdmann) of Howards Grove; his fiancé Dana Hill of Sheboygan; his children, Dylan VanderWeele of Kiel, Carly VanderWeele of Sheboygan and Jadyn VanderWeele of Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Easton and Ingrid VanderWeele; his father David Vander Weele (Jean) of Sheboygan; his siblings, Holly Pohl (Kiel) of Madison, Jason Vander Weele (Tanya), Renee Gonzalez (Matthew) of Sheboygan and Erin Vander Weele (Dylan Roelke) of Middleton; his stepfather Gary Baris of Sheboygan; and the mother of his children Jodi.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Silas' last selfless act was giving the gift of life through tissue donation.
