He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Maurin and Neza Maurin (Sterk). He is survived by: his sons, John Maurin (Lynn) and Paul Maurin (Tina); his close friend Cheryl Aschenbach; his grandchildren, Trevor, Tiana (Kristofer), Austin, Justin, Kendra (Jordan), Clayton and Claire; and his pet Rosco.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude in Rudy's name.
