He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Halverson and Amelia Deckert Halverson; his son Steve Halverson; his brother Robert Halverson; and his in-laws, Dick, Claire Peckham and Ronald Goebel.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Goebel of Sheboygan; his daughters, Christine Boldt (Rob) of Sheboygan, Cheri Gerstner (Troy) of Sheboygan and Heidi Halverson of Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Benjamin Boldt (Tyler), Halle Boldt, Ella Gerstner (Jon) and Hollis Halverson; his siblings, Brent Halverson (Elaine) of Sheboygan Falls and Darlene Beaudry (Bob) of Sheboygan; his daughter-in-law Misty Halverson of North Carolina; and his sister-in-law Joann Goebel of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ronald's name.
