He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ehlert and Hermina Kruger Ehlert; his wife Susan M. Macintosh; his son Scott Ehlert; and his brother Richard Ehlert.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Ehlert of Sheboygan, Lisa Ehlert of Sheboygan and Kevin Ehlert of Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Leif Ehlert, Beth Derousha and Bobbi Diedrich (Jeremiah); and his brothers, Ronald Ehlert (Mary) and Roger Ehlert. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
