He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dewane and Alice "Petie" Dewane (Cookle); his son Paul Shannon; his brother Robert of Two Rivers; and his siblings-in-law, David Havlichek, George and Emily Havlichek of Denmark.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Havlichek; his daughter Dawn Prickett (Andrew) of Oshkosh; his grandchildren, Quenten and Noelle; his niece Heather Steinberger (David); and his great-niece Evelyn.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Paul's name.
