She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Blauert and Johanna Natzke Blauert; her husband Marlin O. "Mike" Bartel; her son David; and her daughter-in-law Laura.
She is survived by: her children, Robert, Jeanne Andersen (Jeffrey) and Paul (Paula); her daughter-in-law Rosie Bartel; her grandchildren, Shawn Mathes (Monica), Chad Mathes (Abby), Beverly Bartel, Sandy Bartel, Steven Bartel, Chris Bartel (Michelle), Richard Bartel (Glecy) and Michele Lyons; her stepgrandson James Andersen; and her sisters, Lois Zeamer and Arlene Stolte. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for Sheboygan Lutheran High School.
