He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Betty Jane Van Dixhorn, Jack Van Dixhorn, Chris Van Dixhorn (Pearl), Donald Van Dixhorn and Harold Van Dixhorn; and his nephew Jeff Van Dixhorn.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Van Dixhorn; his children, Timothy Kaat (Shari) of Sheboygan Falls and Amy Van Wyk (Kenneth) of Waldo; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Mallory), Samuel, Mary Van Wyk, Taylor Kaat and Amanda Wingert (Dean); his great grandchildren, Carter Van Wyk and Tanner Van Wyk; his sister-in-law Audrey Van Dixhorn; his nieces, Lynn Cook (David), Nancy Van Dixhorn, Jodi Van Dixhorn and Kim Nack (Jeff); and his nephew Tom Van Dixhorn (Lora).
