He was predeceased by: his father Michael Stangel; his sons, Charles Michael and Steven William; his grandson Tylor Stangel; and his siblings, JoAnn and Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Geri; his children, Christine Stangel and William Stangel (Amber); and his siblings, Fredrick Stangel (Beverly) and Rosie Reinwand. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
