He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Dankwardt and Marie Dankwardt (Pohl); and his brother James Dankwardt. He is survived by: his wife Jan Toutenhoofd; his sons, John Mark Dankwardt (Amy) and Jeffrey Michael Dankwardt (Erin); his grandchildren, Jack, Jameson Dankwardt and Maddie Vacheresse; his sister Linda; and his brother-in-law Alan Toutenhoofd (Shelley). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in John's name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
