He was predeceased by: his parents, Annabelle Martin (Manning) and John Martin Sr.; and his father-in-law Claude Meyers. He is survived by: his wife Patty Meyers; his children, Jason Martin, Paul Martin (Lisa) and Debbie (Curtis Torry); his grandchildren, Dylan, Madison, Dominic, Hailey, Kadin and Bryson; and his mother-in-law Diane Meyers. He is also survived by many siblings; "Uncle Goo" to many nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established in John's name.
