He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Hoppert and Hanna Hoppert (Proehl); his stepmother Leona Hoppert (Kilbourn); his siblings, Frederic Hoppert (Vi), Martin Hoppert (Edyth), Harriet Stickney (Al) and Kathryn Beihoffer (Dale); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Miller, Ronald Arnst and Norbert Miller.
He is survived by: his sons, Rev. James Hoppert (Abby) and Mark Hoppert (Larry Santiago); his wife Sharon Hoppert; his grandsons, John Michael Hoppert and James 'Drew Hoppert; his sister Ann Keller (James); and his nieces and nephews, Jeff Miller (Jeff Wilke), Bonnie Cain (Dennis), Randy Miller (Penney), Steven Miller (Annie Jurczyk), Frederic Hoppert, Jr., Jonathan Hoppert (Karen), David Hoppert, Philip Hoppert (Mary Ellen), Chris Poppert, Mardyth Pollard (William), Laurel Joa (Curt), Mary Swanson (Dan) and Anne Beihoffer (Jeff Olson).
