She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carpenter and Helen Ninnemann Carpenter; and her sister Carolyn Huibregtse. She is survived by: her children, Michael Bartzen (Lesslie) of Sheboygan, Julie Ruffalo (Neal) of Sheboygan and Jeffrey Bartzen (Katy) of Stoughton, WI; her grandchildren, Jayson (Amber), Bryant (Jenny), Amber (Ryan), Tiana (Patrick), Jack and Sadie; her great grandchildren, Kenna, Landon and Liam; her stepgrandchildren, Britney and Taylor (Kay); her stepgreat-granddaughters, Athena and Mia; and her sisters, Marge Siefert and Faye Entringer.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Joanne's name and may be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
