He was predeceased by: his father Frederick Moritz; and also Thomas Zahn. He is survived by: his mother Marlene Moritz (Thill); his son Evan Jay Moritz; his stepson Kieran Kinney-Moritz; his siblings, Frederick Moritz and Dawn Moritz-Mattson; his nephew Connor Henning (Betsie Wittrock); his great-niece Sabrina; and his great-nephew Sam. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Evan to help with his education.
