He was predeceased by: his father Albert Meseck; and his brothers, Carl, Marlin and Gordon Meseck. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Friedrichsmeier; his children, Gayle Salisbury (John), Gayla Meseck-Lafferty (Robert), Diana Zimny (Bill), Gary Meseck (Ann) and Darla Schwalbe (Jim); his grandchildren, Sarah, Tyler Salisbury, Taryn Lafferty, Joe, Katie, Laura Zimny, Alex, Paige Meseck and Ainsley Schwalbe; his great grandchildren, Theodore and Earhardt Bullbury; and his siblings, Gene Meseck and Gertrude Opgenorth.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.

“With great sadness we had to learn in Berlin that your beloved father and dear person has passed away. In 1981 I was with my late Mother Hedwig Schultz (31.10.1932-18.02.2023), née Meseck, cousin of Gerhart Meseck from Meddersin/Bütow in Sheboygan visiting Great Uncle & -Aunt Albert & Esther Meseck. It was an unforgettable trip and the fond memories are with me to this day! I personally have fond memories of Gerhardt Meseck as a very friendly and warm person. Lovely greetings from Germany! B.S.”
