He was predeceased by: his parents, James Forbes and Alice Hendry Forbes; and his son Brian Forbes. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Forbes; his children, Susan Sylke (Tom), Steven Forbes and Jennifer Redell (Alan); his granddaughters, Amelia Redell, Sarah Redell, Lauren Redell, Allison Sylke, Olivia Forbes and Samantha Forbes; his brother James Forbes (Nancy); and his siblings-in-law, Ed Evanoff (Cindy) and Heidi Evanoff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
