We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2023, at the age of 85, Carolyn J. Ver Straate of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, born in Oostburg, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Caljouw and Esther Ter Maat Caljouw; her husband Burton Ver Straate; her granddaughter Amanda Roe; her siblings, Beatrice Wilterdink (Gordon), Marilyn Charles (Gene) and Marvin Caljouw; and her sister-in-law Betty Caljouw.
She is survived by: her children, Bradley Te Stroete of Sheboygan, Randy Te Stroete of Sheboygan and Tammy Roe (Robert Berger) of Sheboygan; her siblings, Ellsworth Caljouw and Judy Lilyquist (Russell); her in-laws, Richard Ver Straate (Ruth), Karen Theune (Robert) and Grace Ver Straate; and her stepchildren, Terry Ver Straate (Marlene), Jill Berg (Mark), Martha De Korver (Tim), Beth Jones and Sara Settimi. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
