She is survived by: her children, Cori Sommer (Ron) and Gary Sabrowsky (Inga); her grandchildren, Monica Sommer (Ray), Kevin Sommer (MacKenzie) and Maren Sabrowsky; her great grandchild Crew Sommer; and her sister-in-law Doris Lubach.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Bernice's name.
