She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Bassuener and Olieda Bassuener (Menne); her husband Herbert Franzen; her sons, Herbert and Gary Kaiser; her sister Helen Lentz; her sister-in-law Katherine Holzschuh; and her son-in-law Stephen Mullen.

She is survived by: her daughter Paulette Klotz (Daniel); her daughter-in-law Debbie Kaiser; her grandchildren, Michele Kaiser, Daniel Kaiser, Sean Mullen, Natalya Mullen and Alyssa Mullen; her great grandchildren, Trevor Fischer, Kylee Humphrey, Hunter, Chase, Hoyt Van Maastricht, Dohnivyn Maldonado, Robert and Raiana Olson; her sister Nadean Becker; her niece Pamela Smith (Dennis); and also John Kaiser Jr..

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to RCS in Shirley's name.
