He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Winter and Adeline Winter (Schueffner); his wife Crescentia Tauschek; his son-in-law Randall Gartman; his grandson Craig Carlson; and his sister Fern Berger.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Herboek (Thomas) of Grafton, Michael Winter (Rita) of Howards Grove, Susan Carlson (James Sr.) of West Bend and Daniel Winter (Kristine) of Kremmling, CO; his grandchildren, Michael Winter, Matthew Gartman (Beth), Farrah Rifelj (Nicholas), Joel Gartman (Angela), Marc Winter (Cassie), James Jr. Carlson (Katie), Kristin Symmonds (Steve), Jason Winter (Breanna) and Kevin Carlson (Maddie); and his brother Thomas Winter (Charmayne). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Dick's name to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
