He was predeceased by: his father Norman Schmidtke; his uncles, William Zirbel, Ronnie Schmidtke (Marlene), Gerald Schmidtke and John Kintopf; his aunt Janis Schmidtke; his cousin John Kintopf Jr.; and his grandparents, Elmer, Mabel Zirbel, John and Dora Schmidtke.
He is survived by: his mother Janice Schmidtke (Zirbel); his brothers, Jasen Schmidtke (Suzanne) and James B. Schmidtke; and his aunts and uncles, Larry Schmidtke (Anne), Kenneth Schmidtke, Rosie Schmidtke and Joanne Kintopf.
