He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Resop and Bette Resop (Doty); his stepfather Walter Boerger; his brother Richard Resop; his brother-in-law Tom Gwinn; his stepbrothers, Phil Boerger and Jack Boerger; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica Lehrke, Lisa Pennings, Joshua Boerger and Christopher Pennings.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Verhulst; his siblings, Carl Resop (Anke), Mary "Judy" Gwinn, Janet Pennings and Julie Boedecker; his sister-in-law Beverly Resop; and his stepsister Linda Bricko. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
