He was predeceased by: his stepfather Ronnie; and his mother-in-law Donna Reiland. He is survived by: his parents, Eugene Drossel and Arnita Drossel (Schroeder); his wife Vicky Voeks; his children, Hayley, Kyle, Kayla and Ashley; his grandchildren, Tatum and Matthew; his brother Dan (Rose); his father-in-law Gerald Voeks; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Voeks (Pam), Cindy Wimberly (John), Becky Koepsel (John), Tracy Hennigan and Sally Reiland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in David's name.
