He was predeceased by: his parents, Armin Sr. Graefe and Frieda Sprenger Graefe; his wife Wilma E. Hinz; his stepson Ken Mortensen; his siblings, Wayne Graefe and Dolores Rothe (Donald); and his daughter-in-law LeeAnn Graefe.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Graefe of Colecamp, MO and Shelley Wehner (Shawn). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
