He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sauter and Emma Sauter (Liermann); his brother Reverend Charles Koch; his sister-in-law Shirley Koch; his mother-in-law Margaret Pierce; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Preston Pierce.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Myrtle Pierce of Kewauskum; his children, Kathryn Pease (late Al), Michael, Jeffrey (Kathie), Tim (Stacy) and John (Kevin); his wife Myrtle; and his sisters, Marjorie Jochimsen (Earl) and Marlene Neidhold (Jon). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
